The world of ceramic’s is full of wonder that breaks the assumption of the medium. Often, the word “ceramic” brings forth ideas of functional work or decorative vessels, but it does not need to be confined to such. The show focuses on a variety of work, both falling under the umbrella of functional pottery, but also extending far into areas outside of the medium’s stereotypes. A multitude of artists with a variety aesthetic approaches are featured, giving both a totality to the world of ceramic work but also provoking new questions for the viewer.
